The Menai Straits Bridge to Anglesea from Bangor.

Before the trip started, I took the opportunity to climb Snowdon.

I started in the village of Llanberis, down below.

A long way to go...

That's the easy way up! Also rather too expensive for my liking.

At this point the going got steep, and gravelly.

The views were worth the pain!

2 hours 50 minutes of trudgery later, I reached the top :-)

It was very windy, which is why I'm not standing up straight...

The next day, the fieldtrip started in Cwm Idwal, a glacial corrie near Snowdon.

As human geographers, we drew the long straw by spending a day in Llandudno!

Pretty arduous, eh?

I couldn't resist taking a photo of this badgerific establishment.

Hmm... the next day, it was back to Snowdon in the rain.

What a miserable lot we are - but it was cold and wet and most of us were ill!

I stand corrected: it was snowing as well.

The first lake we reached, 15 minutes from the bottom. Long way to go...
